So I guess we’re going to start this particular blog off. With a bit of good news. It would appear that we have at least 80% of everything that we need in order to be able to shoot three separate short films. I’m currently working the budget and trying to make certain that I’ll be able to pull these off in the time that I’m hoping to get them done. Rosie and I have also been going over everything that is necessary in order for me to be able to shoot my first feature length film, “Marbles”.

Speaking of that, there’s a scene in the feature length film which has a young man watching television, watching a show that he enjoys very much. Much. Actually has a lot to do with the story itself. I decided to call and find out how much it would cost to license a 30-second clip of this television show in order to be seen in the movie itself. I had no idea that it was going to end up being something like $1,500 for every 15 seconds of video. And even if I had purchased the rights to be able to show that I would still have to contact the people. As far as the music in the background went to secure rights from them as well as contact sag-aftra to make sure that everyone who is in the television clip was okay with their image being seen in my movie. Needless to say that scene will be changed in order to show a clip from a television show that I guess I’ll have to make up on my own.

The first movie that we’re wanting to work on is a short film based on a video game of the same name called “Fingerbones”. I’ll actually be an actor in this particular short film. It’s a horror/suspense film about a man who is trapped in a bunker with his daughter after an apocalyptic event occurs in the world.

Well I guess that will be all that I will be writing today. Rosie has finished with her appointment at the dentist office and we are ready to go so I’ll pick up here next time.

Peace.
